If the sun were always shining, would we appreciate it as much as we do after the rain? And what of spring? It wouldn’t exist without the winter. Endless summer? I don’t think so. I love the autumn. On the other hand, six months without green is a little extreme. It’s so good to walk along the riverbanks and see sunlight dancing on water and new leaves reflecting on the surface as they emerge from long-bare trees. From Sweet Water shimmer to sunlit Glimmer . . .
