In warm weather, sunlit water takes on a jewel-like luminosity. Where the pools are still and deep —laced with verdant algae— hues are milkier. Tourmaline. Fluorite. Chrysoprase. Opal. Labradorite. Peridot.  It can almost seem surreal. Mesmerizing . . .Like gazing into an apprentice’s fluorescent, crystal ball.
