Deckle-Edge Archival Prints & Exhibit Planning

Some artists make their best work during times of stress. I am not one of those artists. Anxiety does not work for me. For the past week or more, I’ve been waiting for news about a loved one’s health. Fortunately, happy results came in and I feel tremendous relief.

Although I did not paint last week, there was plenty of busy work to keep me occupied. I selected six more, small pastels and shipped them out to Panopticon Imaging for scanning. I will soon add signed, deckle edged, archival prints to my online gallery for purchase. These prints will be perfect for framing, mounted without a mat or floated within a mat; adding to the range of affordable art options.

Also on my list: exhibition planning. I’ve yet to discover a good fit in terms of a New England gallery. So at the moment, I am working on a plan to show my work without a gallery. I may host an open studio here, though there are a number of obstacles standing in the way of that idea. Another option would be a short-term rented space in a more accessible and visible location. Where though? Vermont or Western Massachusetts. Still working that one out. Open to creative thoughts and unusual ideas.
