Fog of Memory

Fog of Memory, 2015 – Oil & Graphite on Wood Panel, 16″ x 16″

Yesterday’s heat & humidity washed away with last night’s rain. It was a good work day with morning fog giving way to a high overcast, cooler temperatures and bright, even light. I spent my afternoon working out on the terrace, listening to the restless squawk of late-summer jays and the squeaky beat of crickets. A familiar and soothing soundtrack on an otherwise quiet September day.

Working outside today when this golden Halesia leaf fell from the branches above. Autumn draws near.
