I wish I could be good about seated meditation —but I struggle. I find that I need to focus on something intensely, in order to quiet my mind. Walking or running meditation work better for me. There is a stillness to be found in motion; in the repetitious footfalls, the counting of steps.

Rhythm to still.

Wind meets cold water, freezing surfaces overnight. Like traced notes on paper, tiny bits of organic matter and airborne pebbles record movements document the passage of time.
