November Rise, 2015, Oil and Graphite on 8″ x 20″ Wood Panel (Diptych)
I always forget how much I love November. Then, when the late autumn arrives I rediscover the beautiful sound of wind in bare trees; the bumping of tree trunks and rattle of bare branches. Lines and shapes reappear on the horizon. And the sky. There’s the sky again, all grey and pink and violet. November is moody and complicated. We understand one another quite well.
