    Oooo…ahhhh! There’s a texture to this piece that I feel we haven’t seen for a while in the pieces you’ve posted here. I can’t quite put my words on it. Actually, I think you did already with the word “velvet” in the title. There’s a smoothness, a cohesiveness to this piece. The layers are there still but integrated together in a more fluid way. This piece feels round as opposed to angular. Not that that makes a whole lot of sense. And the explosions of warm light – delicious! Like fires burning holes through dusk. Really, really love this. New work for me to stalk! 🙂
